I've been writing poetry/verse for quite some times and enjoy putting my thoughts in the stanza format -- it forces me to get to the point without "beating around the bush"; that's why I write but that doesn't answer the question: Why Is This Blog Here?
I am hoping (perhaps foolishly) that some reader will be entertained by my nonsensical rhymes or be informed or inspired by my deeper thoughts.
Narcissism?
I guess every author and poet is also a narcissist -- and that's not a bad thing! In fact everyone should have some level of narcissism -- if you don't feel good about yourself, are not proud of the result when you do your best, don't love yourself, you'll be less than a complete person and you certainly won't be happy.
